Stages of a perfect salad

Base

When I make a salad I think of the greens I am gonna use first. You can use spinach green lettuce or colored greens. Its all the matter of personal preference. We love spinach and we always have it in the fridge.

body

Take pick of 3 to 4 veggies or fruit. Although all veggies are good for you, putting a lot of different ones in the salad can make it a bit crowded and it might loose its definition.

Flavor

When I think of adding flavor I think of cheese or olives, maybe bacon bits sometimes. Somethings that has a very define strong taste. You can play with combinations as you want.

crunch

For the crunch I love to use croutons or nuts, taco chips.

Dressing

Dressing is a finishing touch to any salad. When eating vegetables it is important to have some sort of oil mixed in with them. It helps you to digest the fiber better. I like to use the avocado dressing. It has some oil and yogurt.
